In 2000 De Niro was declared the best new generation Grand Prix dressage horse having won at Prix St Georges, Intermediare 1 and II and Grand Prix - all at the age of seven!
He can also jump and was considered one of the best jumping stallions at the Verden stallion market in 1995. He was Reserve Champion of his Stallion Performance Test with the best dressage performance. De Niro was awarded the I-a main premium by the Oldenburg Association in 1997 as a result of his overwhelming breeding value rating.
